One of the really sad parts about “Arrow” season 3 is that we didn’t get a chance to see Moira Queen during some of Oliver’s flashbacks in Starling City. Maybe there wasn’t time in the episode to put any scenes in there, but she was a huge part of the first two seasons and both her and Walter have been largely missing in action.
While the show doesn’t seem to be bringing either of them back (granted, Moira’s dead and has been for a while), but they are least adding another connection to her past for the upcoming fourth season. According to E! News, the show is looking for a familiar actress to play the role of Patty. She is a passionate, strong-willed woman in her fifties or sixties, and she was a longtime friend of Moira’s. Fittingly, she also happens to have a history with Oliver and Thea, and is running for Starling City Mayor. Patty also has a daughter, and it is someone who could also have a part in the season somehow.
Production on season 4 begins next month, so there is at least a little bit of time to find the right person for this part. We’re excited to see where all of the story goes from here, since given the end of season 3 there is a chance to really start fresh and introduce some new dynamics.
As of right now, we’d say that season 4 will premiere the first or second week of October.
If you want to see right away some of the other characters who are going to be added to “Arrow” to go along with Patty, we’ve got a story on at least one of them right now over at the link here.
