‘The Bachelorette’: Kaitlyn Bristowe reacts to Nick Viall – Ian Thomson drama

Kaitlyn -Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelorette” had plenty of drama and controversy, but is it at this point being made out to be more negative than it really is? Internet hate and/or hate and general have always been present when it comes to people on reality TV, but we feel like the primary difference now versus five years from now is how it is covered. Now, there is a story to be made out of people being rude and obnoxious on social media.

So in the aftermath of sleeping with Nick Viall on Monday night’s new episode of the show, Kaitlyn Bristowe appeared on “Good Morning America” and raised a number of points, saying specifically that she does not regret her choice, and also that she wonders if people would be still as angry had she waited for “ten days” in order to sleep with Nick during the overnight dates.

To a certain extent, we don’t really think that the issue for some here is when she ended up sleeping with someone so much as who the person was at the end of the day. While it doesn’t seem like her and Shawn were as intimate in the time they’ve previously spent together, did you even realize that this happened when it was brought up last night? We feel like in a way, ABC placed their scenes on the air to perpetuate anger on social media. Would reaction have been so terrible if she had hooked up with Shawn here? We don’t quite think so.

The only situation that we can compare this to is when Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson took their clothes off and jumped into the ocean. It was heavily criticized just like this was, but we once again feel like her being so unlikable to many viewers was part of what made this moment into something even more enormous.

We’re sure that this situation will get far more play before the season is over, mostly because the show can be so much more aware of controversial moments and fan reaction now than they were at the start of the franchise.

Oh, and Kaitlyn also reacts to the pretty terrible behavior of Ian Thomson in the video, as well.
