‘America’s Got Talent’ preview: Heidi Klum’s golden buzzer act; plus, an injury

America's Got Talent -NBC has released its latest promo for Tuesday night’s new episode of “America’s Got Talent,” and it does appear that there is quite a bit to look forward to. However, at the same exact time there are also a few other things coming up that may be a cause for at least a little bit of concern.

Let’s start here with the positive, and that is the fact that Heidi Klum does still have a golden buzzer that she has yet to push in the competition. We’re going to go out on a limb here (or not) and say that it will be the last act that performs Tuesday night. We love the idea of the twist, but we hate the implementation of it this season. If NBC wants this to be a surprise, they need to just have it happen organically throughout the episode. Take a page from “Britain’s Got Talent,” which does a pretty good job of scattering it in throughout the episodes.

As for the less-than-stellar news, there appears to be some sort of injury that happens when a contestant falls off the stage during one of the auditions. Ultimately, we feel like they are okay, since we would’ve heard in the news about something truly terrible happening. Typically promos have a tendency to make everything worse than it is.

In the end, there’s a promise in here of crazy acts, and we also know that we are starting to get near the end now of the audition portion of the season. We’ll see what happens next.

Update: Hey, the show listened! Heidi pressed the buzzer for opera singer Arielle Baril, making it so much more exciting TV. Well done!
