‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Analyzing Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Snapchat ‘winner’ reveal

This story has picked up like wildfire overnight, and it is definitely still worth examining: Did Kaitlyn Bristowe actually reveal the winner of “The Bachelorette” on Snapchat this weekend? Of course, there are some spoilers ahead, so consider that in the event that you decide to keep reading.

Basically, Kaitlyn briefly posted a photo that features herself alongside contestant Shawn Booth, and it can be seen in its entirety below. We don’t typically report on anything spoiler-related, but this is a little bit of a different case since this is coming via a contestant themselves versus just some anonymous sources floating out there around the internet. Obviously, some have reached out to frequent show spoilers Reality Steve already for confirmation on this.

The one thing that we’re going to say about this is to not necessarily take it at face value. Could this mean that Kaitlyn does choose Shawn at the end of the season? Sure, but at the same time this could also very well mean nothing. Remember, Kaitlyn is a well-known prankster, and she’s also pretty smart. If she wanted to fake something for the sake of throwing everyone off the scent / press, this is a great way in which to do this.

What we have a hard time getting around here is that contestants have it beaten into the ground while they are on these shows that spoilers are a massive no-no, and that if they’re caught, they could be sued for a heck of a lot of money. We’ve seen reality TV contracts, and they are pretty rigid when it comes to the rules on such things. Why would Kaitlyn even risk something like this unless it is some kind of freak accident? We’re not a Snapchat user, so we don’t really have the experience to know whether or not it is easy to mess something up like this.
