‘Major Crimes’ season 4 spoilers: Jon Tenney will return

Major Crimes -Given the recent news regarding “Major Crimes” spin-off “S.O.B.” not going forward on TNT, it is fair to speculate about the future of many of that show’s cast members on the flagship series. After all, there is only so much room for guest stars on a show that already does have a pretty enormous cast, and also has the responsibility of showcasing a wide array of cases over the course of a single season.

Luckily, we do have some good news coming in now for those of you who are Jon Tenney fans: You will see both Fritz and the Special Operations Bureau again in some form! For a little more information on that, executive producer James Duff said the following to TVLine: “Yes, Jon Tenney will be in Episode 7 … when we have two officers shot to death during what looks like a routine traffic stop.”

The decision to not move forward on the spin-off came following a changing of the guard at TNT’s parent company Turner. Kevin Reilly (formerly Fox’s programming head) has stepped in after the departure of Michael Wright, and he seems to have some of his own plans when it comes to the future of the network’s programming. One component of that could be a change of development when it comes to the crime series that the network has been known for ever since the days of “The Closer” … but that is not entirely confirmed yet, given that he has only been on the job for so long.

What we can at least tell you with confidence is that “Major Crimes” premieres on the network Monday night, and if you head over here, you can get some other news all about the show.
