‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Work officially begins in writers room

Arrow -While you are still most likely a good fourth months away (at least) from the premiere of “Arrow” season 4 on The CW, we can at least bring to you right now some other great news: Work on the show has officially begun! In a post on Twitter (see below), the official account of the writers room has confirmed that the team is starting up the preliminary work on the fourth season. They’ve obviously got a heck of a lot to get to, making most likely 23 episodes while at the same time also making sure that they connect not just to this show, but also to “The Flash” and the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow.”

As a whole, we feel like this is pretty clearly the most complicated job that the writers have ever had to date. Trying to balance this show and one other is tough, but you’re now adding another completely different product to the mix using some familiar faces a la Caity Lotz’s Sara Lance.

What we know right now about “Arrow” itself is that Damien Darhk is most likely going to be the Big Bad, and with that we also anticipate seeing a whole lot more of HIVE. Meanwhile, we imagine that we’ll pick up with Oliver and Felicity in a better place now that they’ve actually had some time out by themselves enjoying life … which they have not always been able to do.

Typically, “Arrow” starts around the second week in October, but given the timing this year we’d consider either the 7th or the 14th of that month to be start date possibilities.
