‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ reunion: Dan Foley, Will Sims, more face off with Jeff Probst
The “Survivor: Worlds Apart” finale on Wednesday night promised to bring plenty of entertainment, but at the same time it was also a forum for some serious discussion. Specifically, we are talking here about some of the comments that have stirred the pot and sparked great debate over the course of the season. Rodney in some ways started it earlier this season, but then Dan had some controversial confessionals, and there was of course the infamous verbal diatribe involving Will and Shirin.
You knew that this was going to be crazy, and we knew that it was. Interestingly, Dan at times played the victim in claiming that Jeff Probst and company were “throwing him under the bus.” Jeff defended the show after Dan claimed that he was misrepresented on the show. To a certain extent, it felt like by the end of his segment he just felt like he was ready to just give up and move on. This was almost an entire segment on its own.
As for Will, he took a little bit of a different approach. He did claim that he apologized to Shirin at Ponderosa (which she denied), and they “began” what was a journey of forgiveness. We do not fully know what happened here, but we do applaud Shirin for not completely accepting everything just because it was a TV moment and you could tell that there was pressure from the audience for her to do so.
The one thing that we didn’t like about this segment is that it lasted for a huge chunk of the reunion, and it also completely overshadowed fun people like Vince, Tyler, and Jenn, who played a big part in the season and were largely ignored. Even Sierra, who made it to the finale, was ignored.

if anyone talked to Will’s wife or daughter the way he talked to Shirin, he would lose his mind.
Survivor has a way of bringing out the worst in people.
