‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Ryan McDill, junkyard specialist and premiere antagonist

Ryan -The name Ryan McDill is one that you’re going to be remembering very well after the premiere episode of “The Bachelorette” Monday. We’ve had a chance to watch some of the first episode as we are writing this, and since the promos have already given it away, we have no problem sharing that the guy is a hot mess in the episode. You specifically see him taunting contestant Shawn, who arrives in a car that doubles as a hot tub. Does it get better or worse from there? You’ll have to wait and see when the episode airs, but this guy’s not getting off on the right foot.

There is a little something else that you should know about him now, and that is that he does have some sort of a history with Nikki Ferrell, the winner of Juan Pablo’s season. We don’t know all the details, but they both are from Missouri (though we think Ryan is going to be the recipient of a far more embarrassing edit).

Name – Ryan McDill

Age – 28

Location – Kansas City, Missouri

Occupation – Junkyard specialist. We’re not entirely sure what that is. Does this mean that he is knows everything about the sort of junk that is meant to be at a junkyard, or that he knows how to watch over one of them? This seems perfect for a reality show on A&E.

First Impression – As we’ve just said, it’s not a good one. He seems to get drunk either before or after getting to the mansion, and then proceeds to make some other guys’ night into a living hell. In lieu of there not being much of note on his bio, we have to go based on what we’ve seen.

Worst Impression – Well, he says that his worst fear for a date is “being terrible.” Well, about that…

Prediction – We don’t know the results of the first Rose Ceremony, and we’re not giving anything away other than what was in the promo; just based on that alone, the guy has a 0.0001% chance of making it through one week. Ryan has “drunk guy who is sent home before rose ceremony” written all over him.
