‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 23 (finale) spoilers: The story for Sophia Bush, cast

Tonight, “Chicago PD” won the award for intensity. A standoff involving police nearly led to massive bloodshed, and one man’s thirst for revenge against Hastings almost made things so much more. While the cast made it through that, the story on next week’s season finale entitled “Born Into Bad News” will take some of these characters even further down the rabbit hole.

For Sophia Bush’s Lindsay, her situation is front and center in our mind. As if losing Nadia was bad enough, she also had to deal tonight with having a gun pointing square in her face. She took a gamble on getting a man to lower his gun, and while she survived, isn’t that going to leave a mark? She could be falling back into some of her old habits, while at the same time there is also going to be an emotional story when it comes to Olinsky and his past.

“Retired Commander Perry (guest star Robert Ray Wisdom) enlists Voight (Jason Beghe) and the team to help extract his cop nephew from a unit of corrupt officers who are robbing drug dealers. When things go bad Voight must take down a younger, more violent version of himself. Meanwhile, Lindsay (Sophia Bush) struggles to stay clean. At the same time a woman from Olinsky’s (Elias Koteas) past reaches out to him.”

Hopefully by the end of this story, we will get some additional information on these characters … and maybe a few others, as well.
