‘Survivor: Second Chance’: Why Mikayla Wingle is worthy of your vote
Did Mikayla Wingle get a raw deal the first time around on “Survivor”? Apparently, producers seem to think enough to make her a “Survivor: Second Chance” contender. This is a chance for her to right a wrong, and a chance for us to see more of her true potential, as well! If you recall, we picked her to win “Survivor: South Pacific” back before that season ends. (She and this season are the only times our picks have ever gone home before the merge.)
So what are her chances of actually getting on this time? That’s what we are going to examine within the span of this particular article, since she could be an interesting contestant to watch for in the next couple of weeks.
Past experience – “Survivor: South Pacific” (14th place)
Why you should vote for her – Because her biggest flaw the first time was Brandon Hantz thinking that she was some sort of temptress sent from the devil to destroy his life. We really still don’t get what happened exactly when it came to that. Does she bear some of the blame for not convincing people to keep her? Sure, but she deserves another chance to play a game without much of those shenanigans taking place. She probably understands the game better, and to go along with that, she is still a great physical competitor.
Why you wouldn’t vote for her – The bad news for Mikayla is that she wasn’t extremely popular during her season, and that was a few years ago. The show does probably want a few young, athletic women in the cast, but there is competition here. It’s simple to think that you are just not going to remember her over some of the other big players.
Our prediction – Mikayla is in the same boat as Monica and Stephanie in that production probably wants all of the back, but we’re not sure any of them are going to get an invite. It would benefit them so much more had the vote taken place a couple of years ago rather than right now.
