‘The Originals’ season 2: Is there hope for Klaus and Cami?

Cami -In many ways, “The Originals” is not anywhere near the same sort of show as “The Vampire Diaries” when it comes to romance. In Mystic Falls, we do see a more romanticized version of love the majority of time. Meanwhile, in New Orleans we say romances tied to alliances (see Jackson and Hayley), and also ones that seem to be doomed to fail. In many ways, that could include any romance that involves Klaus in some way. He is a violent man with a quick temper, and someone who does not let his guard down easy. That’s probably one of the reasons why Klaus and Caroline became such a popular prospective couple for a while.

So is there a romance in the future for Klaus and someone else in Cami? The answer to that is somewhat complicated, based at least on what executive producer Michael Narducci had to say in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“They have an interesting connection … A lot of people say, ‘Oh, it’s a romantic connection.’ But I think right now, it’s a connection where he feels a certain amount of peace with her. He sees that she understands him a little bit and that she is willing to look at him with compassion and maybe hope for the best in him. And I’m certain that there is more than that and there is an attraction between them, but this is a long story and we’re not quite there yet in terms of romance.”

At the moment, we ultimately think that any romantic development for Klaus is going to have to wait until season 3. As we’ve certainly seen courtesy of what Dahlia has done to him, he definitely has some other priorities at the moment.
