‘Person of Interest’ season 4 finale spoilers: Death is coming
Stop us when this sounds familiar: Someone is going to die during the finale of “Person of Interest.” At the moment, you have probably already shouted “stop” at your computer / device. Hopefully, you are not in some sort of crowded room as you are reading this.
At this point, the reality here is that you have grown accustomed to death at this point. It is such a common occurrence on this show that it is hard to imagine a situation where death does not happen. That may sound weird to say, but that does seem to be the reality for this series at the moment after we’ve lost both Carter and, at least for the time being, Shaw. She is not dead, but the series certainly made us worry about it for a while.
Here is what we can say going into Tuesday night’s season 4 finale: There could be as many as three important characters whose lives hang in the balance. This is at least according to executive producer Jonathan Nolan, who talked about it to TV Guide recently.
Personally, we do feel like Reese and Finch should be safe, just from the standpoint that they are the two focal points of the series and it is hard to imagine it without them. At this point, we’d also hope for the same from Root. Ultimately, the important thing to remember here is that these characters may die. There’s not any actual guarantee that they will, so this does allow for the chance for things to be shaken up over time.
