‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 23 preview: Sutton Foster guest-stars in bee-themed story

Elementary“Absconded” is the title for next week’s penultimate episode of “Elementary” season 3, and one of the fun things that we see about this story already is the opportunity it provides! This marks a chance to dive into the world of beekeeping more than we have on the show already, and that’s saying something because it has always been a part of this version of Sherlock Holmes and his identity. There is yet another death that sparks the investigation, and some important people will be met in the process. One of them in Tara Parker is played by none other than “Bunheads” alum Sutton Foster, and for some more details, take a look at the synopsis:

“Holmes and Watson look into the death of a member of Holmes’ online beekeeping community who was a researcher looking into a deadly Northeast honey bee outbreak. During the investigation, they meet Tara Parker, a brilliant entomologist, academic and the leader of New York’s beekeeping society. Also, Captain Gregson enlists Watson’s services in an off-book investigation that helps him make a life-changing decision.”

We don’t get the sense that this story is really tied too much into the story of the finale at all here, given that this episode is one that we know will revolve to a certain extent around Sherlock’s sponsor Alfredo, and the events that happen here could end up having a drastic impact on the rest of his life. Do you have a reason to be afraid for him here? The answer may very well be “probably” based on the information that we know at the moment.

Of course, we’ll have more information before the finale airs, so be on the lookout for that!
