‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: First look at Jo – Alaric wedding!

There are going to be many different stories ahead on “The Vampire Diaries,” whether it be Caroline’s attempts to accustom herself to being normal again (or at least as normal as she can be), or the events that lead up to the departure of Nina Dobrev from the series.

So what lies ahead with the Jo – Alaric wedding? We already know that in some way, this could spark Elena wanting to leave Mystic Falls and the surrounding era for good. She wants to have something resembling more and more of a normal life, even though that seems pretty far impossible at the moment given that she is a vampire. That is where that cure is going to come into play. There is tension aplenty between her and Damon as it is, and that could accelerate by the end of the season. (As we’ve said, we mostly just hope that it is not going to be a sad exit that splits these two characters up forever.)

As for the wedding itself, we get the sense that it will be lovely. This is a real shot for Alaric to have a happy future all over again, which is nice given what happened to Jenna earlier on in the series, and at the same time also his own death in the season that followed. (We thought that Alaric’s original death was one of the most painful things in the history of the show.)

There are only a few select episodes of “The Vampire Diaries” to go, and we have a feeling that things are going to get even more emotional from here on out?
