‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 23 preview: Laurie Metcalf, Christine Baranski to appear

Big Bang Theory -While CBS may not have announced the full synopsis just yet for next week’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” we can at least give you a few details right now. First and foremost, this installment is going to be entitled “The Maternal Combustion,” and one of the most notable things about this one is simple: It will feature guest-starring appearances from Laurie Metcalf and Christine Baranski.

What makes these appearances so notable? Let’s start here with the fact that seemingly, these two actresses are probably going to share some time together on screen for the first time. They’ve both appeared many times, but they typically have had their own episodes. Not only that, but Baranski’s appearances on “The Good Wife” have kept her from really showing up here in any capacity other than Skype.

Given the talent level that we are talking about here, there is not any reason to think that this will be anything other than really great. These are two extremely notable guest-stars, and two of the best that CBS has brought to the table over the years. Why wouldn’t they be great together?

Unfortunately, there is not much else known about this episode right now, though given that it is the second-to-last one of the entire season, we do have a feeling that it will deliver in the entertainment department and then some. Why wouldn’t it, given what the potential is for it to be rolling-on-the-floor funny?
