‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 20 preview: Can the Lazarus pit save Thea?

Arrow -Wednesday night’s “Arrow” is entitled “The Fallen” for a reason. At the moment, Thea Queen is looking like she’s dead, and there is really only one way to save her: The famed Lazarus Pit that Ra’s al Ghul has at Nanda Parbat. This is something steeped in DC Comics lore, but the show has been hesitant to really bring it up and discuss it over the course of the season.

As Malcolm Merlyn describes it to Oliver in the sneak peek below, there is a very “Once Upon a Time” sort of “magic comes with a price” feel to it. While it is possible that the pit could revive Thea, the odds are slim that she would come back the same exact person. There are fittingly side effects to being dead and suddenly undead. Does this mean that Thea is going to become Lady Stoneheart? The irony here is that the show could have a closer representation of this character than “Game of Thrones.”

To us, it’s almost a no-brainer that Oliver will go for this, even if he is forced to become the new Ra’s in the process. Look at it this way: He already has his mother’s blood on his hands, not to mention his best friend Tommy. Sooner or later, it gets to be too much, and losing his little sister is probably going to be too much for him to bear since she is the only family he has left.

Yes, this episode is also going to most likely feature the much-hyped Oliver / Felicity makeout scene, but there is not a video tease out there for it just yet.
