‘Scorpion’ finale spoilers: The team hunts for Walter

Tonight is going to prove itself to be a huge one on “Scorpion.” How do you save Walter O’Brien’s life? This is not going to be an easy process after watching him go hurling off a cliff in a Ferrari, but this is precisely what the team is going to have to figure out before “Postcards from the Edge” comes to an end. Sure, they do have a number of other problems that they will have to address, which include the future of the team now that Cabe is resigning and Paige is moving away with Drew and Ralph, but right now Walter’s life is top priority.

The sneak peek is mostly about one thing: Discovering Walter is in a precarious position and hanging on for dear life. This is the beginning of a desperate rescue, and we give the folks on the crew a ton of credit for really making this as intense as possible. The car is literally hanging on the edge of a cliff with Walter inside, and if they do not move quickly and he fails to wake up, he could be dead without even realizing what is happening to him.

As you would expect with any such near-death situation, this could end up giving Walter, Paige, or any other member of the team a minute or two to pause and actually think about what is going on with them. For example, will characters want to go forward without revealing some of their feelings? It might be the game changer that Walter or Paige needs to make them open up about how they feel about each other.
