‘A.D. The Bible Continues’ episode 4 preview: Pilate wants revenge

AD -We are now three episodes into NBC’s presentation of “A.D. The Bible Continues,” and we are therefore starting to see what some of the challenges are in telling the story after the Resurrection. It is certainly an important story in the early formation of Christianity, but it is also one that not everyone knows that much about. Unless you are a Biblical scholar, your mind is probably full of blank spots when following the timeline not too long after the Crucifixion.

So where does the story go from here? Pilate is going to be on a warpath again after realizing just how many people are still rallying behind who he previously put to death. This will be something that he has to face for some time moving forward, or however long he has moving forward on the show.

For some other news in terms of what to expect, be sure to check out the synopsis below:

“Pilate seeks revenge for the murder of a Roman soldier. Elsewhere, Caiaphas fails to convict Peter and John, and the church grows.”

One thing that we are also continuing to be interested in are the ratings for the show. Will the stay level with last week now that the events of Easter have been told? If they had, we will wonder if the show actually will try to turn the events of the Bible until a full-fledged series. Then again, this book does having an ending.
