‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6, episode 21 preview: Sam, Callen, and … the walking dead?

NCIS Los AngelesIn this case, we’re not talking about the likes of Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon. On next week’s all-new episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” we are going to have a great chance to see Sam and Callen have a bit of a minor freakout when someone presumed dead shows up alive, and then requests their help for a particular reason. In theory this sounds ridiculously entertaining … but we have a hard time imagining them going down the zombie rabbit hole too much. This is really not that sort of show.

This episode is entitled “Beacon,” and if you want to get some other scoop all about it right now, take a look at the attached synopsis:

“Callen and Sam are shocked when an old acquaintance, who they thought was the recent victim of a murder, appears and asks for their help. As the team investigates, they uncover a possible breach of America’s economic sanctions against Russia.”

Ultimately, whatever happens here will have some serious implications, but we have a tough time imagining that it’ll be anything that carries over to the rest of the season. We’re not far enough this season to be at a point where we’re building towards a finale, though a four-part story arc would be rather cool for this show given how rare it is. The only real criticism that we will fire away at the show is not giving us anything too meaty when it comes to the characters themselves in the synopsis. Instead, we’re left to make zombie references.
