‘Arrow’ season 3: Stephen Amell, John Barrowman, more featured in fun ‘Fight Club’ video

While the new video below may not be even remotely canon or important to the plot of either “Arrow” or “The Flash” coming up, we don’t want to say that this diminishes its awesomeness in the slightest … mostly because it doesn’t. This has to be one of the coolest videos that we’ve seen The CW put out so far in promotion of either show.

It’s also easy to describe more or less what is going on here. We have a “Superhero Fight Club,” and some of the attendees include Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), the Dark Archer (John Barrowman), Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable), Arsenal (Roy Harper), the Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), The Flash (Grant Gustin), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and many more. It’s just a fun showcase to see stunt work, plus a number of entertaining one-liners at the same time. This is a great little way to promote the final episodes of both shows this season.

Also, you have to think of this in some way as subtle promotion for the still-untitled (despite the rumors) spin-off show featuring Cold, Heat Wave, The Atom, and many more. This will be debuting at midseason next year, but we are going to get a whole lot more in the way of promotion before then. Expect both “Arrow” and “The Flash” to use their position in a way to allow for some better cross-promotion.

“The Flash” returns Tuesday night with “All-Star Team-Up.” Meanwhile, “Arrow” will air (fittingly) “Broken Arrow” on Wednesday night. The only other thing that we can say is that surprises are coming in spades.
