Ratings: ‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 hits low, ‘Revenge’ drops, ‘A.D.’ tops scripted shows

Once -The ratings are in for Sunday night, and they serve as yet another reminder that really, nobody seems to be watching network TV live for some reason. Where are all the viewers?

Let’s start here first and foremost with “Once Upon a Time,” which fell to a new low in a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Even though this Robin Hood episode was one of the best of the season, viewers don’t know that ahead of time and therefore don’t bother to tune in. We also just think that this is where the audience is right now more so than anything else because we don’t hear a single reasonable argument that suggests that the presence of the Masters on the schedule actually made some sort of significant impact into how the fantasy drama did.

As for some other shows on the schedule right now, let’s take a moment to be sad about “Revenge.” ABC strongly suggested last night that the show has been canceled after four years on the air, and the fact that it did not score higher than a 0.9 does not help. Typically, if you go below a 1.0, it is the kiss of death for your future plans. While “Secrets & Lies” (1.3) is doing slightly better, it’s also in its first season. If it was renewed, it would be below that threshold in almost no time.

“A.D. The Bible Continues” managed to win the night with a 1.7, but this was down more than 20% from the 2.3 who watched the first episode live a week ago. CBS was delayed slightly for the Masters, and with that there is not really anything factual that we can take from its numbers.
