‘The Flash’ episode 18 video: Brandon Routh arrives on the scene!

So far, the story of Ray Palmer has been a lively one. He’s put countless hours into building his Atom suit and trying to fight crime; unfortunately, there are still some kinks that need to be worked out. He and Felicity are just a two-person team, and he’s created something far more advanced than any superhero costume we’ve seen in the CW – DC universe so far.

So why wouldn’t he use a lifeline in crossing over from “Arrow” to “The Flash“? This is what the sneak peek below is really all about! Brandon Routh gets to make his first appearance on the latter show, and this is a fun one given that he has an energy that is somewhat similar to the characters over there, while at the same time different. He has the intelligence of someone like a Cisco, but also the skills to go out and fight. He’s not anywhere near Barry Allen on the fighting-crime scale yet, but time will tell if he can figure this out. Also, there’s some great awkward-banter between Routh and Emily Bett Rickards as their characters try to handle being together in public.

Barry comments in here that there is a heck of a lot going on, which makes the timing of their visit somewhat tricky. However, Cisco still seems willing to help Ray finish off the Atom suit, while Barry will have plenty of help of his own tackling a meta-human we know as the Bug-Eyed Bandit (Emily Kinney).

Also, don’t forget about Harrison Wells. One of the best moments of the entire preview is when he says nothing, but looks towards Barry as he exits the room.
