‘Chicago Fire’ season 3 will have special airing for ‘Law & Order: SVU,’ ‘Chicago PD’ crossover

Chicago Fire -Chicago Fire” certainly has been bracing themselves for a variety of major events these days. It was earlier this week when we first had a chance to see the big spin-off pilot for “Chicago Med,” and come the end of the month we are going to have a chance to see a massive three-part crossover event that combines this show alongside “Law & Order: SVU” and “Chicago PD.”

While the first part of this story in “We Called Her Jellybean” is going to air on April 28, we’ve now learned that NBC has also scheduled the episode to re-air the following night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, as well. This means that if you so choose, you can get a chance to see all three parts of the event in a row like it is a big TV movie.

Also, we have per the Futon Critic the synopsis of the “Chicago Fire” part of the story:

“An apartment fire linked to a case of rape and attempted murder calls for members of the CPD to team with the Special Victims Unit, which had a similar unresolved case that has eluded them for more than 10 years. This prompts Sgt. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) to come in from New York to assist with the investigation in which she is all too familiar. Meanwhile, doubts among the squad towards one of their own causes Severide (Taylor Kinney) to lay down the law and Dawson (Monica Raymund) puts her life on the line during a call.”

This gives you at least a clue as to who specifically is going to be coming down to the Windy City for this episode, and that is good news for Benson fans!
