‘The Flash’ spoilers: On Barry, Eddie, Joe, and major tension

The FlashWe’re coming off of a pretty great episode of “The Flash” in “Tricksters,” and we’re not just talking about the performance of Mark Hamill. We are also discussing the face that Eddie Thawne now knows the truth about Barry Allen being The Flash, and that is a huge secret that weighs on him. While it may not be easy for Barry or Joe West keeping the news from Iris West, they don’t live with her! Eddie and Iris spend the most time together, and he is the person she trusts to tell her everything. So for him to keep a massive secret from him is a huge problem.

So as you would expect, Rick Cosnett’s character is going to be none too pleased about this sudden development. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg makes a fairly compelling argument as to why Eddie reacts the way that he does about this secret being such:

“Eddie, as always, is the much more emotionally in touch character and is like, ‘This is ridiculous. Not telling her, you’re actually putting her in more danger.’ That actually starts to become the conflict between the three men because Eddie is not happy with how Barry and Joe have been handling this. It starts to really impact his relationship with Eddie.”

By the end of the new couple of episodes, we feel like something is going to have to give one way or the other for Eddie and Iris. This doesn’t mean that she will suddenly be getting with Barry, but if these two do break up because of this secret, don’t you think that this will create a good reason for Eddie to hate Barry?

Do you think that Iris and Eddie will eventually break up over this secret?
