‘American Crime’ episode 6 preview: What will Tony do for revenge?

Vengeance is something present in almost every crime drama, or at least the ones who want to make certain that what is justice is never a particularly black-and-white issue. For some characters, justice may be seeing a killer or any sort of criminal behind bars, where they are forced to live out their days in consequence of their actions. However, for others justice is more akin to taking matters in their own hands when they feel like the legal system is failing. They are often impatient, and unwilling to think that their actions could cause even more problems down the road.

For Tony on “American Crime,” he may choose to make a decision next week that shifts everywhere. Is a literal meaning of eye-for-an-eye the right move? ABC is already hyping up in the promo (and the synopsis below) that this is a life-altering move that will shock audiences:

“Following Carter and Aubry’s failed attempt to flee the country, Barb becomes more dogged in her fight for justice and turns to media outlets to bring more attention to her son’s case. Aubry is held in hospitalized care and continues to push her family and the authorities away. Back behind bars, Carter’s situation worsens and Aliyah is desperate for contact with him. Elsewhere, Tony takes drastic measures to find out who attacked his sister and make him pay. With pressure mounting, Detective Palmer and DDA Soderbergh turn to Hector for the damning testimony they are looking for. However, a significant piece of evidence is uncovered that changes everything for the prosecution.”
