ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: See Stana Katic’s birthday tribute to Nathan Fillion

Yesterday was a special day in the “Castle” universe, especially if your name is Nathan Fillion. After all, it was the actor’s 44th birthday! This is a guy who has brought so much joy into the lives of others between this show, “Firefly,” and many others. The man has been blessed with the opportunity to do such a wide array of awesome things, and also develop a fan base that was strong enough to raise more than $70,000 for charity alongside his friend and former co-star Alan Tudyk. Below, you can see one other sweet tribute to Nathan courtesy of his longtime co-star Stana Katic, and it comes at a time when the two are filming their final episodes of the current season of “Castle”. Could these also be the final episodes of the series? We don’t necessarily get the indication that this is the case, but it is something that you do have to be thinking of when you consider the variables for a minute. We haven’t heard confirmation from ABC yet about the show, or its status and we thought by now there would be some news about it’s return.

Still, regardless of what happens, Nathan and Stana have done a great job at delivering seven great seasons of entertainment, and they’ve also created one of the best TV couples that is out there. Best of all, it seems like they also have a good rapport away from set, which helps their on set chemistry – it’s easy to see why everyone loves them.

While there is going to be another new episode of “Castle” airing on ABC on Monday night, there is no finale date yet, but we assume that it will be airing at some point in May (as many season finales tend to do). I get the feeling they hate each other in real life. Is it just me? Seriously, could it be *more* damning with faint praise? A hint they they butt heads on set “I’m not bossy” and the “costar and colleague” bit — nope, not friends. They do have a ton of chemistry on screen, though.

  I agree. She refers to the background extra’s as “family”, not “colleagues”, yet to mr @nathan-fillion as “colleague”. Clearly, she doesn’t consider him a friend. And notice he didn’t reply to her, RT, acknowledge, etc. Whatever happened to their relationship off screen around the time of season 5-6 is killing the magic of castle.

Happy birthday Nathan. I have enjoyed all seven seasons of you and Stana playing off of each other and hope I will get to see other seasons of Castle.
