Is ‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16, episode 17 new tonight? ‘Parole Violations’ promo and more

Law & Order: SVU logoFans of “Law & Order: SVU,” be prepare to wait … at least for one more week. There is no new episode airing on Wednesday night, but there will be one next week! “Parole Violations” is going to be a shocking, complicated episode, and the promo below makes one question very clear: Can a woman completely rape a man?

The story behind the upcoming episode will revolve in part around a former prisoner who accuses his parole officer of rape, which then raises a number of questions about whether or not this could have happened. Plus, the accusation is coming from a not-so-reliable source. This story is also made even more intriguing by the fact that this same man is engaged to Carisi’s sister. We’ve come to know this character somewhat over the course of the season, and this is one of the best chances to really figure out who he is away from work.

For some general details about what to expect (if you have not seen them already), take a look at the official synopsis below:

“Detective Carisi’s (Peter Scanavino) sister Bella (guest star Marin Ireland) prepares for her wedding to fiancé Tommy Sullivan (guest star Michael Chernus) and the upcoming birth of their child. But when Tommy falls back into bad habits and accuses his parole officer (guest star Molly Price) of rape, Carisi must investigate whether the claim is real or just another one of Tommy’s excuses.

Throughout the week, we are going to see some news related to the episode … so stay tuned for that!
