‘Chicago PD’ season 2 spoilers: Voight in the spotlight … but why?

Voight has been known as the voice of authority on “Chicago PD” … and also the voice that you can barely understand from time to time because he’s so hoarse. Someone get that guy some cough drops!

So could his authority be compromised in any way coming up on the show’s April 1 episode entitled “Get Back to Even”? It is at least possible. He is going to have a tie to someone involved in a case, and he has to figure out whether or not he will be able to protect the people that matter to him. There is always the question as to whether or not someone is too close to a case to really see it properly, and this may therefore be asked in some capacity. NBC released the synopsis for this installment a little earlier this week, and you can check that you below. There’s also some Halstead scoop in here just in case you are firmly invested in this story:

“Intelligence responds to a drug robbery gone wrong and in their investigation it’s revealed that the first person Voight (Jason Beghe) ever gave his card to is linked to a double murder. Voight will fight to keep her family safe. At the same time, we learn the real reason why Halstead’s (Jesse Lee Soffer) brother Will (guest star Nick Gehlfuss) came to Chicago. Meanwhile Desk Sgt. Platt (Amy Morton) takes care of a young girl at district.”

What’s going on with Lindsay? That is a good question, since Sophia Bush’s character has been quiet in recent press releases.
