‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 14 video: Maleficent challenges Regina

It did not take long apparently for Maleficent to find herself some new clothing on Sunday night’s “Once Upon a Time,” or for Regina to come right in the direction of the Queens of Darkness with a simple proclamation: She wants a slice of the action.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Lana Parrilla’s character having herself a quick meeting with Maleficent, Cruella, and Ursula, and she claims almost immediately that there is one thing on her mind still: Revenge. While it may appear on the surface as though she is developing hero tendencies, she assures them more than anything that this is just a ruse to shy away from what is her true purpose: Finding a way to get the happy ending to her life that she wants.

The revelation that Snow and Charming cost Maleficent her child is a huge game-changing for the relationship between Regina and Maleficent, mostly because it helps to wash away what was a pretty rage-inducing move on Regina’s part: Locking her away for three decades before she was eventually killed. She doesn’t really seem to be either all that upset or focused on that at the moment. Then again, she clearly does have some other fish to fry, and more of her attention is placed on that than anything else.

The best part of this entire sneak peek is the end, given that this is when you have another example of Regina asserting her power.
