‘Fargo’ season 2 spoilers: ‘How I Met Your Mother’ alum Cristin Milioti signs on

Fargo season 2Cristin Milioti is boarding “Fargo,” and here’s to hoping for a better ending for her than the final season of “How I Met Your Mother.”

According to a report from Deadline, the actress (who has also starred on “A to Z” and done work on Broadway) is going to recur throughout season 2 in the role of Betsy, the wife of Patrick Wilson’s character Lou (played by Keith Carradine in the first season) and the daughter of Rock County Sheriff Hank Larsson (Ted Danson). She is a woman who brings a variety of different skills to the table: She can cook, do auto repairs, and knows her way around a gun. She’s grown up in the area, and knows how to take care of herself very well.

At this point, any gig on “Fargo” has to be considered a fantastic job. While filming in the sometimes-brutal cold of Canada can be difficult, it is worth it for the quality of material you receive. This show won the Emmy for Outstanding Miniseries for a reason, and in going back to the early days of Lou’s life, we are going to learn more about what that something terrible was that happened to him so many years ago.

Given that Betsy is married to Lou, is this the mother of Allison Tolman’s character from the first season? If so, it is very fascinating that Milioti continues to be the solution to so many mom mysteries on TV. All joking aside, we know that she’s a strong actress, and this series should be very lucky to have her on board.

“Fargo” season 2 should premiere later this year.
