‘The Bachelor’ CarterMatt Podcast: On Chris Soules’ finale, ‘Bachelorette’ controversy with Jessa

We’ve made it to the end of a “Bachelor” season, and the time has arrived for us to wax poetic about the season … if there is any poetry here at all.

Let’s be honest here: This was not the greatest season of the show ever. While Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff seem to be a pretty happy couple, they did not always make from great TV. As a matter of fact, there were many times when we wanted to fall asleep during the finale. There was a long period of time spent celebrating, and there wasn’t really a whole lot of drama. This is great for Chris and Whitney, and not so great for us at TV.

Also, we spent a whole lot of time in here talking about the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette,” and how there is tons of controversy all about whether or not the show made the right choice in giving both Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson the others. In many ways, we understand that there wasn’t a consensus pick among production … but there sort of was among the viewers watching at home. We still do our part in this podcast to discuss a little bit about what the show can actually do to increase ratings, and they are little changes. Have the voting public design a date! Or have them give a pre-season rose to someone they want to see past the first week.

We do have one thing about this podcast we regret: Somehow, we had so much to discuss that we forgot about Jimmy Kimmel and the cow!
