‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Kaitlyn Bristowe, Britt Nilsson joke on ‘Jimmy Kimmel’

Kaitlyn -After last night’s new episode of “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose,” there were many questions about how the next new season of “The Bachelorette” is going to go. Unfortunately, we’re still not sure we have a real answer for you.

Both Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe were each guests on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last night, and while they both seemed to be good sports about the new twist, there’s still an elephant in the room that really is not addressed: It’s not like both of them are going to be on the show all season. If this is really like the sixth season of “The Bachelor” years ago, which featured a similar twist, the suitors will decide the very first night who they want to date. From there, the season should continue as normal. Hopefully we’re wrong, and the show at least finds something else for the woman not chosen to do over the course of the entire season.

The one thing that we know is that the majority of the internet is not entirely pleased about this. The fans online and in the audience last night seemed to massively favor Kaitlyn for the role, and the voting really was not that close. Not only that, but many former stars of the show were also very displeased with it. The difference between this now and the first time the twist was used is that social media is around now, and you tend to hear a lot more about outrage than you did before people could easily express their rage many years ago.

Of course, we never really liked the idea to begin with. One of the biggest issues we have with this is simply that whoever doesn’t get picked gets that rejection all over again, and it’s even worse that we’ve already seen them be rejected once before.

Who knows? Maybe this will end up being great fun. For now, though, outrage seems to be the word of the day.
