‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: What will Reddington do to protect Liz?

The Blacklist logo any seasonAt the moment, Liz Keen on “The Blacklist” is in a bad way. The investigation into the Harbormaster’s death is trouble. Huge trouble. If she is convicted of murder, this means more bad news than just trouble for her. It also means that the entire FBI task force could be in trouble. What would it be for the bureau if they were employing murderers? Given where the series is set and the political climate surrounding officers, this would be political suicide for them to stay employed by the federal government.

So with these sort of stakes, the pressure is on Raymond Reddington in the next several episodes to find a way to ensure that Megan Boone’s character is safe, even if it is more for self-preservation than necessarily wanting to do anything to lend a helping hand to law enforcement. Per Entertainment Weekly, you better prepare to see him going all out in order to keep Liz safe. This potentially includes him working to find Tom while he is on his not-so-secret mission, and then also finding help from a most surprising source.

Conventional wisdom suggests that Liz will find her way out of this situation, though there is a part of us curious to see what an “Orange Is the New Black” sort of story would look like with her finding a way to further destroy criminal from the inside. This show does need a shake-up, but the reality is that it probably does not need to be one like this.

Within the next two weeks, we would presume that more will be understood when it comes both to Tom’s whereabouts and Liz’s fate. While you wait, our suggestion is to take a look back at some past episode reviews.
