‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4, episode 9 preview: Rachel Bilson, Wilson Bethel, and ‘End of Days’
“Hart of Dixie” may be coming to an end soon. Sad thought, no? Well, that does appear more likely now than ever before, given that creator Leila Gerstein posted on Twitter earlier today (see below) that tonight’s “61 Candles” was one of the “final three episodes.” If the series finale is coming in two weeks’ time, though, at least be prepared for an ending that ties together most loose ends. If the show is going out, it seems to be going out with closure. (Gerstein also claimed that she and the writers “prepared” for this sort of possibility.)
We won’t get too far ahead of ourselves here, though. Instead, let us just talk about “End of Days,” which is the new episode of the CW series airing next week. Brick’s birthday will have come and gone, and in that storyline’s place, we’re going to see one that makes BlueBell wonder whether or not the town is about to completely fall apart. Take a look at the full synopsis below:
“AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) is visited in a dream by BlueBell’s founder, who prophesies five omens about the end of BlueBell. Not taking it seriously, AnnaBeth shares her dream with Crickett (guest star Brandi Burkhardt) who tells everyone and creates a town-wide panic. Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and Wade (Wilson Bethel) are surprised when it comes out that they have very different opinions about marriage. Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) is at a crossroads when he gets an offer that could change his life forever.”
This episode could be fun, but know this: There could also be some huge story moments in here, as well. The show has to prepare its characters for the rest of their lives, so expect some movement in that direction.

i cannot believe there are only 2 episodes left of this great show i caanot wait for ther next week this season we have seen wade grow so much he has taken it on the chin about becoming a father from the very start when he found out he has embraced it usually it is a 22 episodes but the cw have knocked it down to just 10 episodes even one tree hill had 13 episodes in the last season and that was its 9th season why couldnt we have been given at least a 13 episode season as the cw has said this is the final season this is the best season yet and I am very sad that it has to end surely the cw have been pleased with the way hod has been received this season we still have not found out what was with earl hiding all the money wade has given him why put it in the first place when they had no intention of revealing the why it wouldnt be the first time a channel extended a season why not do it for hod

The reason this season only got 10 episodes was because Rachel Bilson was pregnant. It was going to be a shortened season anyway because of the way the ratings fell so much last year and the other show renewals and new shows on the CW schedule, there wasn’t room on the schedule for a full season of HOD. The reason they only got 10, instead of 12 or 13 like shows often get in a shortened season, is because they couldn’t fit it in with her real life pregnancy. Rachel had her daughter a few weeks after filming ended and my guess is they didn’t want to be in a situation where they were half way through an episode or had an episode or 2 left to shoot and have her go into labor so they decided to play it safe and finish up a few weeks before her due date.
I agree, this season has been great. I was really holding out hope that we might get another shortened season but if LG tweeted that it was the last 3 episodes, I think that’s a pretty clear indication that another season isn’t happening. She’s the EP, if there was any chance of another season, she of all people would be aware of it. This isn’t like some of the actors “saying goodbye” when they finished filming last fall, this is the EP which is more telling to me. So, so sad to see this show end, I love it!
