‘Call the Midwife’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Barbara, Sister Mary Cynthia try something new

Call the Midwife -There were moments of hope on Sunday’s “Call the Midwife,” and that is not often something we say. Maybe the folks behind the scenes were occasionally in a happier mood? What is interesting about the show moving forward is that midwifery is only going to be a part of what will be a more complication equation.

For one of the first times this season, we are going to see some substantial evidence that science and technology are impacting Nonnatus House, as Barbara and Sister Mary Cynthis attempt to try something new in order to implement better care. However (and as is often the case with this series), not everything is going to according to plan.

Based on the synopsis below, even the other portion of the story sounds fairly interesting:

“The maternity home sees two school friends reunited and their lives become intertwined in the most unexpected way. Elsewhere, Barbara and Sister Mary Cynthia team up to implement a revolutionary technique on their bedsore patient before it is discovered that it is his steadfast wife who is the one most in need of care.”

The one thing to remember as you watch this episode is that we are nearing the end of this season, crazy as it may be to think about. Therefore, let’s hope that there is some substantial movement forward in some of the storylines. We really have not had a whole lot of that as of late.
