‘How to Get Away with Murder’ finale spoilers: The ‘who killed Lila’ shocker and more

The finale for “How to Get Away with Murder” is now just a matter of a week away, and based on most everything that we’re seeing right now, it appears that there is going to be quite a bit of craziness that takes place.

As a matter of fact, the new promo released by ABC basically spells out its warning: You better watch this finale live, since the final minute will BLOW YOU AWAY. We get it, ABC: You really want to market to get people watching live. Admittedly, though, we’re becoming somewhat crabby at the moment about this sort of advertising. Rather than trying to hype up some specific shocker, why not just focus on a great story with strong character moments? Those have been the shining point of this series more than something that gets people writing with all caps on Twitter.

What you should know is that by the time these upcoming two episodes are over, Lila Stangard’s murderer will be revealed. Since we already know who technically killed Sam, more of the intrigue there may come more out of finding out if these characters can actually escape what seems to be a very grim fate for them at the moment.

As for a cliffhanger, of course we expect one! This show will not be back on the air until the fall presumably, so you really need to set things up in a great way, just so that they keep speculating and discussing the future.
