‘King of the Nerds’ season 3, episode 3 CarterMatt Podcast: On sumo wrestlers, box boats with Jessa

Kind of the Nerds -Monday has turned out to be a great way to get a double-dose of all things “King of the Nerds“! We just posted our exclusive interview with the just-eliminated Todd “The Bod” Landree, and now we are pleased to also present the latest edition of our CarterMatt Podcast.

Of course, this was an episode where there was quite a bit to talk about, whether you are discussing some of the silly or the controversial. We loved first and foremost the challenge this time, mostly because it felt like a “Survivor” challenge with a major touch or nerdiness. There was also some great planning and strategy that went into this. Some questions here include whether or not Todd was really that upset about Lily’s work ethic, or that her flirtation with Ben was a distraction. Also, we talk about whether or not Jonathan and Heather yelling is a great way to motivate someone like Ori.

Of course, the big event of this episode was the huge meltdown that Todd had before being put into the Nerd-Off, and there is so much here to unpack, including how much he was in the right, and whether or not others were in the wrong for throwing the “bullying” accusation out there at him.

Since this is all very serious and heavy stuff, we felt it important to finish the podcast with a discussion of the sumo wrestler, and how we would have much preferred to see Gerard Butler in his place trying to kick contestants down into a pit. THIS IS NERDVANA!!

Anyway, subscribe to our podcast on iTunes if you want to get new ones one a regular basis! We’re going to have more great stuff throughout the weeks ahead. Also, sign up now in the event you want some other TV updates sent over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: TBS.)
