ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 14 video: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and … 3XK?
Anytime that you have a mission on “Castle” that involves 3XK, there is one thing that you can be assured: Nothing is going to be as simple as it ever seems to be on the surface.
In the sneak peek below (first posted by TVLine), it appears as though Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) have managed to finally bring in the man otherwise known as Jerry Tyson (Michael Mosley), but there is one fundamental problem with this: The man that they have captured claims that he is actually not Tyson at all! Instead, he says that he is a man who underwent extreme plastic surgeon with the help of Dr. Kelly Nieman, and as a result of this feels a million times more confident now than he ever did before. This is great news for him if this is true, but not so great news for Castle and Beckett as they try to uncover what the facts truly are here underneath the surface. At the moment, nothing is entirely clear.
By the end of this episode, maybe we will get a sense at least to what Kelly Nieman is up to, and if there is any sort of particular endgame here. If this man isn’t Jerry, why make him look exactly like him? Is this all a trick so that the real Tyson can go undetected somewhere else?
If nothing else, this story is a great way to mask whether or not the real 3XK is still out there for a while longer.

Let’s really stretch the limits of believability. Castle was kidnapped and kept for two months by a person or persons of considerable financial means. During this time he was made to lose his memory of what happened during the two months. Let us now suppose that 3xk was captured by the same person(s) and was given a new memory – that of Michael Boudreaux. Possible? Yes but improbable.
The more likely scenario would appear that Michael Boudreaux is really 3xk and nobody can prove or disprove this because all records of 3xk have been stolen. Therefore, 3xk, as Michael, can walk around freely to capture Beckett and hold her while threatening or actually doing her harm so as to cause Castle great mental pain and suffering. (Remember that 3xk took Beckett on the bridge and threatened to kill her to inflict pain and suffering on Castle rather than just killing Castle.) This also gives validity to the presence of Dr. Nieman -she is there to assure everyone that Michael is not 3xk because she did perform surgery on Michael.
Just need to remember while watching the 2 parter that Castle and Beckett do survive and appear together in episode 16.
