ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 14 preview: Will 3XK, Dr. Kelly Nieman kidnap or kill Beckett?
You have been waiting for the return of 3XK and Dr. Kelly Nieman to “Castle” for well over a month now, and on next week’s “Resurrection,” you will have a chance to see both in action. Michael Mosley and Annie Wersching are back, and may be set to finally inflict the pain and suffering on Richard Castle that they have long dreamed about.
What is their endgame? The promo after tonight’s episode (read the review here) suggested that there is a game of sorts at play, and one that could lead to Beckett getting captured and/or hurt badly. She seems to be the target, since there would be no better way to get at Castle than the woman he loves. The synopsis below, unfortunately, is not exactly so revealing:
“When clues in a murder implicate Castle and Beckett’s nemesis, Dr. Kelly Nieman (guest star Annie Wersching), Castle is called in to consult on the case. But as the team delves deeper into the investigation, they uncover connections to notorious serial killer Jerry Tyson (guest star Michael Mosley).”
We suggest that you clutch onto something through most of this episode, since it is promising already to be one of the most intense hours of TV that we have seen on the show since at least the first two episodes this season. It is also the first of a two-parter, so whatever transpires in here will for sure carry over to some sort of crazy case taking place on February 16, when this arc comes to a close.

With both Dr. Neiman and 3 xk appearing if anyone is killed I would think that it would be a clone of Castle or Beckett. I say this because it has already been stated that Castle and Beckett will be working together in episode 16 and, almost certainly, the rest of this season depending on how or if contracts are renewed. ABC has stated that they love Nathan and Stana and want them back and that there will be a season 8.
I believe that episode 13 is also one of the best episodes of season 7. It has Castle and Beckett working together. The case is one of the most challenging to date because it has several false leads and twists. Nearly all of the major characters contribute their part. Castle recognizes that he is starting to dislike his role in his cases. Castle stated that he was glad he killed Storm in his novels because the plots were so predictable. Looks like a lot of possibilities to explore in future episodes and/or seasons.

Regarding Beckett getting captured and possibly hurt badly, for this to work to hurt Castle he would have to be made aware that she was captured and tortured/hurt. This could be done through various means of electronic or physical contact of course but they could only hurt Beckett so much before the “mouse” they were using to get to Castle would die, become unconscious, etc which would no longer be of any enjoyment to them. Would seem to make more sense for the capture of Beckett but the torture/death of a clone produced by Dr. Neiman (otherwise why have her involved in the episode). Of course, castle and Beckett will be working together in episode 16 so we know neither will die in either of the 2 parts.

Forgot-with regard to how this might influence future episodes and seasons the groundwork for many possibilities was laid in episode 13. Beckett is still very supportive of Castle as a P.I. but she is also aware that Castle needs backup and other support on dangerous cases. Beckett could join Castle in his P.I. Business.Castle admits that he killed off Storm because the cases became too predictable. Castle could also think this could be true of the Heat cases and he might try more serious literature. Of course Castle could return to the 12th and the life we know and love.
