Oscars 2015: Rita Ora joins Adam Levine on performing roster

The Academy Awards are really wasting no time at all this year when it comes to making their roster of performers clear. After all, we just heard some further news about the performance roster for the ABC telecast this year.

British singer-songwriter Rita Ora, who is currently a coach on the British version of “The Voice,” has been tapped to sing “Grateful,” the Oscar-nominated song from “Beyond the Lights.” It is Oscar tradition that the Best Song nominees try to come up with a way to ensure that they get as much attention as possible going into the show, and booking big names helps. It was recently confirmed that another singer / “Voice” coach in Adam Levine will also be a part of the night.

As of right now, we feel like this category is somewhat of an open race, but it is almost always this way. All we do know is that we’re probably not going to have a moment quite like what we saw last year. Remember the John Travolta incident? We’re sure that every single person presenting these singers is going to rehearse what they are doing a million times before they go out there.

The 2015 Academy Awards are going to be airing on ABC come Sunday, February 22, and we expect the ratings to be enormous. We’ll have some further news and updates as time passes. Neil Patrick Harris is going to be serving as the host this year.

What do you think about this news, and are you pumped to see Rita there? Share right now with a comment.
