‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: More on Camilla Luddington’s Jo and her dilemma
We know when “Grey’s Anatomy” returns to ABC on Thursday night, there will be a whole lot of drama and hard times that are apparent almost from the get-go. Meredith will be struggling with the departure of Derek, and April and Jackson are going to be going through a major decision or two when it comes to their unborn child.
So what is really going to be coming in the near future for Alex and Jo? This is another important subject of conversation. These two have been together for some time, but as of late there has been a particularly nagging issue: Some of the feels that Jo has about Meredith and Alex being so involved in each other’s lives. While he is not Cristina 2.0, there are some similarities there.
For those who are wondering, don’t worry about whether or not this is ever going to become a hugely-drama story on the show. It’s not going to. However, executive producer Shonda Rhimes does make it clear to TVLine that this is not a story that Camilla Luddington’s character is going to be ignoring moving forward:
“I find a lot of humor and charm in watching Jo cope with the fact that Meredith is trying to be the middle spoon in their bed in a lot of ways. Her horror at that concept is kind of great.”
Who knows? Maybe by the end of this season, Jo will feel even more comfortable courtesy of a larger commitment from her man. We don’t get any sense that the writers want to rush anything, but we are getting near a point where that could be possible.
