‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: David Ramsey on big Diggle scenes ahead

Who doesn’t love some John Diggle – “Arrow” scoop? As bummed out as we are to see Oliver Queen out of the picture for a little while, we will always be grateful anytime that we get to see David Ramsey do some really exciting stuff on the show.

For one, Diggle is going to be more of the main hero in Starling City now that Stephen Amell’s character is (seemingly) dead. He will be the one who rounds up Team Arrow, and while there are newcomers like Laurel Lance and Ray Palmer who may be getting involved, neither one of them has the skill set just yet to go out there and fight crime in the same way that Diggle can. Expect to see him don the hood again, and as Ramsey says in a new interview with TVLine, Diggle is also going to have to navigate some difficult emotional waters, as just about everyone will have their own reaction to finding out the news (from Malcolm Merlyn, no less) about Oliver’s death:

“There’s a lot of emotional examination that we have to do … And you also see me have very wonderful, poignant scenes with Katie [Cassidy], which is great. We both love Oliver, so you see these people, because of their different attachments to Oliver, react in various ways.” 

As for what else is coming up for Diggle this year, we expect the wedding plans with him and Lyla to continue, and maybe we’ll see a ceremony by the end! Also, it has been confirmed already that the Suicide Squad will return, which means that we are potentially set to get at least another brief appearance from Deadshot.
