ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: James Tupper on Emily Thorne, Victoria Grayson’s situation

Ready for a little bit of “madness” on “Revenge” season 4? Well, Sunday night’s new episode is going to be a heck of a provider for this and then some.

After all, you just have to look at the central twist of this installment: Emily and Victoria trapped in a cage, and forced to work together to escape the wrath of a certain Malcolm Black. If there is one situation that is definitely happening, this is it. Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe’s characters have shown zero capacity to get along, and it is hard to see that changing anytime soon. Unfortunately, if they don’t find a way to work things out, neither one of them may escape this situation alive.

So what does someone very involved in this situation have to say? Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, James Tupper (David Clarke) shared his take on what is going to be a very crazy (and hopefully action-packed) story:

“The furnace of hell has been lit … I’m not going to let someone take my daughter away from me. I’m on the revenge path. It’s a really fun episode. We have so much fun doing social gatherings, but the other thing is sometimes it becomes this ninja show. We lean heavily into the ninja in the next episode.”

Hopefully, all of this is code for “We’re going to see badass David turn up.” This is something that we’ve been looking forward to for quite a while now, since it will show us more of the character than we have really had a chance to see so far.
