Yesterday, we posted our podcast about the two-hour premiere of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and today, we are officially back to lick our wounds after being horrendously wrong about this season of the show.
How wrong were we? During our contestant spotlights early this season, we predicted that Kevin Jonas was almost for sure going to win the show, given the skill set that he had, his popularity, and just about everything in between. However, he was fired after making a big move, trying to go toe-to-toe with Geraldo Rivera in the boardroom. What did he do wrong? Below, Matt Carter and Jessa go through how he made a few classic “Celebrity Apprentice” mistakes, with the biggest ones being not taking someone to the boardroom who was an easy person to eliminate like Lorenzo Lamas, and also not setting Geraldo up in a way to be criticized by the executives. Meanwhile, we praise the women for completely dominating this task.
From here, the discussion turns to the second episode, and an event that is in many ways just as sad: The firing of Gilbert Gottfried. There can be very little said about whether or not it was the right choice for Donald Trump to fire him, since he clearly decided that he did not want someone changing him for the sake of promoting some business. With that being said, there is still a debate as to whether or not there was a way to use his better, that way this never happened in the first place.
