Tonight, “Gotham” finally returned to TV with a new episode that had a whole lot going on, and also introduced some new characters at the same exact time.
Now that you’ve had some time to dive in and enjoy this episode, know that you’re going to be waiting for two more weeks to see what is next. What gives? It’s mostly a consequence of the show wanting to understandably not air against ESPN’s coverage of the National Championship. If you want to go ahead and see what lies ahead right now, then take a look at the official synopsis from Fox below:
“In an attempt to get his job back, Gordon seeks to capture Jack Gruber (guest star Christopher Heyerdahl), a deranged electrical genius who escapes Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Falcone struggles to hold onto his empire after Fish Mooney makes her next move.”
While this may not give everything away, at least rest assured that there are definitely some pretty great stories ahead. We feel like we are moving in a less procedural fashion, and that is very much a good thing. The promo below features a quick tease at Heyerdahl’s character, and that is someone we are very excited to see. We love him on “Hell on Wheels,” and it is also thanks to that show that we are very much aware that he can play a heck of a compelling villain.
While you may be frustrated with the added wait right now, don’t worry: The show will shift to a more ordinary schedule soon enough.
