‘Suits’ season 4 spoilers: Taking on the Louis Litt crisis head-on

Louis -January is looking to be a pretty strong month for TV, and we feel like this is especially true if you are a major fan of USA’s “Suits.” The series returns with new episodes on the 28th, and do not expect there to be much of a wait at all for the show to address one of the big questions from the summer half of the season: What happens to Louis Litt after he demands to be made partner as a result of what he knows about Mike Ross.

If this was any other show on the air, we presume that there would be a good bit of debating back and forth all about how the series was going to handle something like this. However, that is not happening in the slightest here with Jessica Pearson knowing that Rick Hoffman’s character has her backed into a corner. If Mike goes down, they all go down for continuing to keep his past a secret. Louis knows that, and they have to satisfy them. Speaking to TV Guide, show creator Aaron Korsh makes a good analogy when explaining how the Louis situation compares to the Mike cliffhanger from season 3 to season 4:

“When Mike left, we didn’t come back and see that Mike changed his mind, so we don’t shy away from this.”

The basic translation here is that the show isn’t going to premiere with Louis being okay and happy with his position. He is going to want much more than what he has.

For us, what will be fascinating to watch unfold are the reverberations Louis’ demands have on the various members of the firm. Remember here that he was starting to build a good rapport with Donna, and he was actually becoming (insert gasp here) reasonably well-liked. that period may now be over.

If you missed it, USA already released a video proving that Louis has moved up in the world. Take a look at that here, and sign up if you’re interested in getting some other TV updates now via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: USA.)
