‘Suits’ season 4, episode 11 spoilers: Will Louis Litt be made a partner?

Louis -Now that USA’s Thursday-night lineup of “White Collar” and “Covert Affairs” is wrapped up for the year, there is something that you can probably expect to see unfold now: The show opting to move into a new era with the January return of “Suits” being promoted thoroughly.

What we know right now is very simple, but at the same time hugely important to the future of the show: Louis Litt has been made partner. Now, the characters are working under Pearson Specter Litt, and Mike Ross is basically at the mercy of a pretty intense, sometimes crazy man who holds moral authority first and foremost … even if he does not always choose to follow it himself.

A new promo over at Entertainment Weekly reveals that Rick Hoffman’s character has been officially scored the promotion in the wake of some of his not-so-nice threats to Jessica, mostly that if he does not get what he wants in return for silence on the whole Mike Ross issue, he will burn the firm almost completely to the ground (metaphorically of course). Power is what he has always coveted, and he now finally has that for the first time completely.

In turn, this is terrible news for Mike. This promo also shows him pressing the character to resign, which would be a game-changing and depressing move for the show, and one we honestly cannot see happening right now. This is a show that has already been down this road so many times, it wouldn’t make any sense to kick Mike out right after they finally made the move to bring him back.
