‘The Following’ season 3 spoilers: Assorted teasers on Mike, Max, and Joe Carroll

“The Following” is not going to be an early bloomer for Fox this season. As a matter of fact, you’ll be waiting until Monday, March 2 in order to see the show back on TV. We would say that consistency should be the name of the game for this show, and that includes one thing above all else: Making sure that the story at the end of the season ties in to what we saw at the beginning of the season. Season 2 at times was so crazy that we often did not fully understand just what was going on.

So is there anything that you can expect from the story this time around? While of course the powers that be are staying coy on most of the specifics, we do know a few things right now courtesy of a TV Guide report.

1. Joe Carroll is not going to be a force to reckon with, at least during the beginning of the season. Instead, the producers are allowing James Purefoy’s character to take a little bit of a rest. Maybe he will turn up near the end, but for the time being, there are other villains to watch out for.

2. Want to know who was driving that truck? Don’t worry, the show will make it clear by the time the premiere episode comes to a conclusion.

3. Finally, Mike and Max are going to have a hard time continuing off of that kiss they shared near the end of season 2. Maybe there are still feelings, but they will struggle to keep a relationship together.
