ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion’s ‘Castle P.I.’ synopsis!

How about this for some other great Christmas news when it comes to “Castle“? We now have a tease all about the story for the show’s January 12 return entitled “Castle P.I.,” and based on what we can tell at the moment, this looks like it is going to be plenty of fun.

This synopsis comes to us being SpoilerTV, and it picks up right away on Nathan Fillion’s character being kicked off the force; this seems like it is going to give him and Stana Katic plenty of opportunities to bounce off each other, especially since they are not even necessarily allies at this point:

“After being forbidden to work with Kate Beckett or the 12th Precinct, Castle obtains a P.I. license and shows up unannounced at Beckett’s crime scene, hoping to investigate alongside her as a private eye. But things don’t go as Castle had planned.”

While we would assume that Castle will eventually end up back on the force, mostly because that keeps the show family together, we do not get any impression that the series is necessarily in a huge hurry to make that happen. This means that we could have many chances to see this gang in a professional rivalry, and also see if Rick is really capable of solving mysteries in the long-term.

One story that would be interesting to see play out here is how Castle handles all aspects of the business, and still find time to write. One of the lucky things about his typical job is not having to deal with most of the outside responsibilities of it.
