While the fifth season of “Blue Bloods” may currently be on hiatus, we know still that there is quite a lot to look forward to in the future. Specifically, we are speaking here about the big 100th episode for the show.
This episode is going to be the second installment that airs in 2015, and in the video below from a recent episode of “The Talk,” the likes of Donnie Wahlberg, Tom Selleck, and the rest of the cast all do their part to explain at length some of what this achievement means to them. Above all else, it marks an opportunity for them to express pride in their work, and in the fact that their show has made it to this point.
One of the biggest achievements of all is that this series managed to do all this while being at the same time relatively unheralded by the media. It airs late on Friday nights, rarely gets headlines, but somehow still draws more than 11 million viewers almost every week. It is ultimately a testament to a devoted fan base, who has no problem staying home and actually catching something when there are so many other things that they could be doing.
Of course, beyond this there are still many more significant stories still to come. We are only nine episodes into season 5 at present, and that means the door is open for a whole lot more down the road … and we’ll have some of that very soon. Let’s just hope you are patient as we start to work our way through this holiday season.
